My AA flight from KK to KL was delayed from 3.45pm to 5.30pm...no not delay, they called it re-time. No compensation for less than 2 hrs delay, but actual boarding time was 5.30pm whereas take-off time was 6.05pm. In actual fact, the delay was more than 2hrs but I wasn't entitled to any compensation because it was officially stated on the information board, "Re-timed from 3.45pm to 5.30pm".
Finally, my plane landed at LCCT around 8.30pm and I awoke from slumberland with an empty and growling stomach, I must have been exhausted after the long wait & dozed off inside the plane. I was craving for food so I headed to the Asian Kitchen for my favourite bihun goreng special. By the time I reached Cititel, it was well passed 10.30pm..... my 2 colleagues from Kch called me to join them for a cuppa drink... no, thanks guys, I'm exhausted, need to shower & shampoo my oily hair & take a good rest before I come face-to-face with the new E-Class tomorrow.
The sneak preview was over in less than an hour and after some catching-up sessions with some familiar faces, filling my stomach with coffee, muffins, crossants..... together with my 2 Kch colleagues, we hanged around this old mansion called Carcosa Seri Negara which was built by Sir Frank Swettenham in 1896 as his official residence. Sir FS was the 1st resident-general of colonial Malaya. "Carcosa" stylistically or simply meant "dear place" in Italian. Today the Carcosa is one of a leading verrrry exclusive hotels in KL. My senior told me that Al Gore stayed here with his entourage during his visit to Msia as VP of USA. Hmmm....that ring a bell, did someone walk out on our beloved Dr M after voicing out "Reform!" ???? Har, what ??? Oh, never mind, someone said there's around 7 or 8 rooms only and cost around 7k a night, 7k a night per room? Those ain't no ordinary room, those are suites.
People said early birds get the worms, hehehe.... but for me being the late bird to leave this "dear place" gave me the golden opportunity to lay my hands on the E350 Coupe, fasten your seat-belts guys, while I step on the sporty accelerator with my 3-inch high heels....
