Under the same rainbow, there are nice houses filled by happy families
There are also some shabby structures that look like squatters houses
There's a run down playground where residents forbid their children from going
Developers built the playground but it's nobody's business to maintain it
Still there are children playing there and their laughters filled the air
But these are the children of foreign labourers
Their moms could be lived-in maids somewhere
Their pops could be workers at construction sites
These children are left to roam freely in the outdoors
No adults to guide them, no books to read, no directions to go
They spend their days loitering aimlessly
And digging into garbage bins hoping to find something that is still useful to them
When some dogs bark at them, the bigger children instinctively shield the smaller ones to protect them
They noticed the beautiful rainbow and giggled happily pointing their fingers at the sky
It's sad to see small innocent children living in such condition
I can't help wondering what would become of them when they grow up
Does every child deserve the same blessing under the same rainbow?
